DDS has over thirty years of experience performing construction inspection and, with this experience, we have learned that communication and coordination within the project team is the key to a successful project. It is absolutely essential to have an open line of communication between the contractor, design professionals, public officials, and the inspectors. This strategy is implemented on every project to ensure a high quality finished product.
In general, our approach to special inspections and construction materials testing is to review the design documents as well as perform site visits in accordance with construction documents and applicable building codes to observe that materials and workmanship comply with the approved documents and applicable standards. Discrepancies observed during site visits are brought to the attention of the contractor. Unresolved items are then presented to the design professional. We document all daily activities in report format with photographs taken from our site visits, all of which are submitted at intervals determined prior to construction.
DDS is a member firm of ICC and ACI.
