DDS
ENGINEERING,
PLLC
was contracted by the Kentucky Beta House Corporation to
generate a set of site development plans for the new
Sigma Alpha Epsilon House for the
Western Kentucky University
chapter. The house is located on the corner of Center
Street and new 14th Avenue. The site consists of three
smaller properties that were combined together by a plat
generated by
DDS
ENGINEERING,
PLLC.
The house, parking, and courtyard covered most of the
property. In order to store the additional storm water
runoff, an underground detention system was designed
that stored the storm water under the courtyard and
parking areas. The storm water is treated and released
into the existing gutter line of Center Street.
DDS
ENGINEERING,
PLLC
coordinated this design with our designs of 14th Avenue
and 15th Avenue and the conceptual design of the Greek
Village. Our design incorporated some parking on the
site including one accessible space and a retaining wall
along 14th Avenue. The lot was graded in such a fashion
to save a large tree near the new intersection.
